trapped inside this fortress
of ashes and hate.

The sun keeps falling down,
hiding sounds and lights,
so we can walk amongst
reptiles in disguise.

With the sense of loss
and broken hope,
we learned to find
all beauty in decay
in this city of lies.

These bitter days are taking over
as fast as we are.
The restless nights are getting older,
drowning our desire.

We are hiding inside
regret and silence,
not knowing time or place
to rejoice again, to find ourselves.
We don't even try to turn against
this oppressive landscape,
we are hiding inside
this suppressing nightmare.
